Valerie Wicks

Valerie Wicks is the author of Seven Spectral: Into the Red World, the first in a projected 7-book series of young adult fantasy adventures. Her independently produced debut novel introduces readers to Emerald Drizzleweather Bogwater, the unfortunately named and red-headed outcast of her entirely Green World. Emerald longs to escape her village, but when she discovers a mysterious and deadly Red World, she realizes that the grass is not always greener on the other side… A former video game producer with a degree in filmmaking, Valerie elected to leave her overtime-heavy job and tackle producing her series full-time. Her visual and tactile approach to self-publishing has offered her opportunities to work with big name brick and mortar stores like Barnes and Noble. She is currently at work on the next book in her series, which takes place in the Orange World.
