Agent, Sparr Literary
Babette Sparr is an independent literary agent who grew up with publishing in Europe where she received her MA in German and English Literature, as well as Cultural Anthropology. She has worked at Peter & Paul Fritz Agency in Zurich, Circulo de Lectores in Barcelona and Simon & Schuster in New York. She also worked at the Sandra Dijkstra Literary Agency handling subsidiary rights and project development. Having started her own agency, she is especially drawn to literary fiction, upmarket women’s fiction, anything that has to do with the immigrant experience, cross-cultural and diaspora literature. She’ll enjoy a well-written thriller as well. In non-fiction she is looking for science, political science, history, and current affairs.
