The Southern California Writers’ Conference (SCWC) values your privacy. The information you submit here is protected by 128-bit SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology to encrypt your transaction(s) and the PCI Service Provider Level 1 certified Stripe Secure Payment Gateway used to process every online transaction made via our website.
Our website uses “cookies” when you create an account. Cookies are small bits of information stored by your computer’s internet browser. Our cookies do not contain any information that identifies you to the SCWC, other than to allow us to possibly provide features like welcoming you back to your account with your name.
Because our site uses Stripe secure credit card processing, we do not need to gather or store your credit card information. We never share your information with any unaffiliated 3rd Parties, and you will not receive additional solicitations when using our system. Also, anything you submit to us is used only to update your online account information, to complete your purchases, to notify you as you have requested, and to improve our site in effort to better serve you.
FORMS OF PAYMENT
For online orders Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover cards are accepted. If you would like to pay by check or money order, please register by mail by clicking the appropriate link on the online registration page.
ADVANCE SUBMISSION CRITIQUE
Optional Advance Submission Critique is available only to registered Full Conference and Saturday/Sunday conferees. Manuscripts will be returned only at the conference. The fee for Advance Submission Critique is non-refundable after the posted submission deadline.
ATTENDANCE AND DISCOUNTS
Only paid registrants can attend the conference or summit. Early “Bard” Discounts are not available with any other offers.
HOTEL LODGING
Special discount rates are available to SCWC conferees for each of our conference and summit events. Booking must be made directly through the respective event hotel and confirmed by no later than posted date on the registration and lodging pages in order to receive the discounted rate.
CONFERENCE CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
Conference registration refunds, less a 15% processing charge, may be obtained before the date posted on the registration page. Refunds will be sent within four weeks after they are received. The SCWC reserves the right to cancel any event without penalty, its liability limited to a refund of registration fees. The SCWC also reserves the right to change or cancel any speaker and/or session without notice. There is a $50 handling fee for returned checks.
