Not everything we write will make it into the final piece. In fact, much of what we write is to discover what the story is about and who the characters are. Digging deeper, exploring hidden passages, following roads that lead to unexpected destinations, and asking impertinent, probing questions of our characters (and ourselves). Often writing outside the story is the only way to get inside it. This workshop offers inventive, practical techniques and creative exercises for exploring story and character. Good for fiction and nonfiction writers.
