Frederick Ramsay is the prolific author of the Ike Schwartz mystery series, which premiered in 2006 with his critically acclaimed debut novel, Artscape. Secrets, Buffalo Mountain, Stranger Room, Choker, The Eye of the Virgin and Rogue (Poisoned Pen Press) have followed, each earning wide praise. His stand-alone Impulse was called by Booklist, “A touching reflection on the changes that come with growing older in a society prejudiced against the elderly,” while Predators, the launch of his series set in Botswana, was “starred” by Library Journal and called by Booklist, “a finally engaging mystery.” Its follow-up, Reapers elevated the stakes in the unusual setting.
